Even brands like to dress up

Around this time every year, certain brands switch up their promotional approach to appeal to their Halloween crazed audiences. Some brands choose to use this holiday as a branding tactic, to generate buzz about their products. You may have noticed that the shelves of a grocery store may look slightly more spooky than usual, as many brands put out limited edition Halloween packaging. This is a great opportunity to stand out on shelves from other products, as well as from themselves. Just like people of all ages enjoy taking on a new costume or persona for just one day out of the year, brands can do something similar. They get to dress up their products with some fun packaging for a short time. The brand gets to take on a new identity, draw some attention, and then can return to its regular packaging.
